One India One People (OIOP) Foundation 

The One India One People (OIOP) Foundation is committed to propagate and preserve Indian values, traditions and culture and build awareness about social, economic and political issues peculiar to India amongst Indians.

An important initiative of the OIOP Foundation is to teach our youth good citizenship through One India One People Clubs in schools and colleges so that they grow into responsible global citizens. The OIOP Clubs spread the message of unity, instill in the youth a sense of pride for India, inculcate good values, sensitise them to social issues concerning our country and conduct various meaningful activities such as:

OIOP Socially Responsible Student -Citizen Award'
One India One People organised its 3rd annual 'OIOP Socially Responsible Student -Citizen Award'

last week at Thakur college of Science & Commerce in Mumbai. The chief guest of the function was Mr Mukesh Sharma former Director DDK Mumbai & currently, Director Central sales Unit All India Radio ,Mumbai.

The OIOP Socially Responsible Student -Citizen Award' is given to two studentsfrom each OIOP club member school/college who imbibe & demonstrate exceptional Indian values and community work in line with ONE INDIA ONE PEOPLE objectives

Procedure for OIOP Club opening 
Once a school/college chooses to be a member of the OIOP Club:
•  It selects 8-10 students drawn from Class VIII & IX (if it is a school) / Class XI or 1st year degree students (if it is a college) as OIOP Club members.
•  One/Two teachers are nominated as co-ordinators for the Club activities.
•  A brief inaugural ceremony is held in the school to mark the opening of the OIOP Club by lighting the lamp and a brief introduction is given about the OIOP Foundation.

•  A certificate acknowledging the school as a member of the OIOP Club is given on the occasion.

•  The school is expected to give at least two/three days of its calendar year to conduct activities of its choice from the above mentioned activities.• 

 The activities are conducted free of cost in the school premises and are open to all students of the secondary section.

Responsibility of OIOP Club members
Future Citzens
•  The Club members will act as ambassadors for OIOP and lend support to OIOP in fulfilling its objectives.
•  Read and share articles of interest that are published in OIOP magazine with teachers/fellow students/members.
•  Give brief feedback about the magazine that will be  published as a letter in the OIOP magazine.

 Contribute well-written articles to OIOP magazine for publication.

•  Strive to imbibe the values and ideals of OIOP.
•  Help in organizing/implementing the OIOP Club activities smoothly.
•  Display the OIOP badges/banners, certificate of membership and any such material on every possible occasion.
•  Encourage fellow students to take up at least one social activity that will benefit society at large or encourage a group activity that will benefit society and in turn make them socially responsible student-citizens of India.

•  The students should put up a skit/ speech/dance during the annual day function which is in sync with the objectives of OIOP and promotes the Foundation motto of being a proud Indian first, last and always.
•  Students of Jr. Colleges can:
i) Volunteer to open Clubs in Schools in co-ordination with OIOP,
ii) Partner OIOP in organizing activities in schools and other colleges so that OIOP activities gain momentum and reach a wider audience and more youth benefit from these activities and
iii) Help the OIOP Foundation in its other wider scope of activity that will spread the awareness.
